Welcome!  Below are surnames originating in the Scotland, Northern Ireland, Sweden and the Czech Republic.  On the left, you will find links to these regions that I have found useful in my research.

By ancestry, I am a "hybrid"-- half Scottish and half Swedish.  My father was born in Scotland and my mother was 1st generation Swedish-American. I married a full-blooded Czech-American whose ancestors came from Bohemia in what is now the Czech Republic, and moved to Iowa. It makes for an interesting mix of family history.

View my web projects by visiting the Odebolt History Pages, developed by my sister and I.  If you would like to see events of the Scottish club I belong to, visit HAGGIS  (Hawkeye Area Grand Gaelic Isles Society).
